What does Taiwanese Bi Lou Chun taste like?

It has a fresh, strong floral aroma and a vibrant, grassy flavour with floral and mineral notes. The finish is clean and fresh. It sits somewhere between a green tea and a light oolong.

How do I brew Taiwanese green tea?

Use 1 teaspoon per 250 ml cup and water at about 79°C. Steep 2 to 3 minutes. A glass cup or gaiwan works well, and the leaves give several good infusions.

How is it different from Chinese Bi Luo Chun?

Bi Luo Chun is a classic Chinese green tea. Chinese immigrants brought it to Taiwan, and the Taiwanese version is grown in Taiwan's own soil, climate and elevation. That gives it its own fresh, floral character.
