Jin Jun Mei (Beautiful Golden Eyebrow in Mandarin) is a famous Chinese tea known for its deep auburn golden hue and delicate slender leaves, like a beautiful women’s eyebrow. It is one of the most beloved Chinese teas, grown and produced in Fujian province.

In the springtime, the two small leaves are plucked from the stem and allowed to fully oxidize; this full oxidation gives Jin Jun Mei its deep and malty aromatic profile. Jin Jun Mei is made of slim black and gold tips, covered in a delicate golden fuzz. Once steeped, it has a smooth body and well rounded mouth-feel; its taste is sweet, honey-like, malty, velvety smooth and has hints of vanilla.

Jin Jun Mei is best enjoyed straight, and try multiple steeping it multiple times!

I have been drinking this tea for years. It is good taste, sweet, fragrant and mild. It goes gentle to the stomach. You can drink it full year around, any time, even during evening, won't give any problems for sleeping. The price is reasonable.

Very good, but it has a bit of a smoky flavor to it that I don't especially enjoy. It also is not as delicate-tasting as the description would have you believe; perhaps I am using too much or oversteeping. Regardless, good but not exceptional.

The dry leaves smell EXACTLY like a certain type of small, clean cattle barn common where I grew up. The sort of barn with gentle cows quietly chewing, buckets of twine and secret kittens in spring. It's a very honest sort of smell and I was startled to be transported back to childhood by opening a bag of tea. When brewed, the vanilla is apparent and 'honey-like' is apt. It's almost brothy in body; the malt becoming more apparent with multiple washes. But that smell though... Good Job.
