About the tea pantry

Amber Rock Sugar Crystals are made from pure beet sugar and dissolve slowly, so they sweeten tea gently without masking its flavour. Vanilla Rock Sugar adds French vanilla and caramel notes.

Fiji Ginger Chunks are large, soft pieces of candied ginger. For a sweet treat with your tea, try the Pistachio Dubai Dark Chocolate Bar or the crispy Hazelnut Praline Dubai Chocolate Bar.

Tea pantry FAQ

What is rock sugar?

Rock sugar is sugar formed into large crystals. It dissolves slowly, so it releases its sweetness gradually. Serving it with tea is a tradition in many countries, from Germany to China.

How much rock sugar should I use?

Start with one or two crystals per 250 ml cup. They dissolve as you sip, so the tea gets a little sweeter toward the end of the cup.

Which teas go well with rock sugar?

It suits strong black teas, Earl Grey, chai and herbal infusions. Vanilla Rock Sugar is especially nice with breakfast blends and rooibos.

What can I serve with tea from the pantry?

Candied ginger pairs well with chai and green tea. The chocolate bars go nicely with a bold black tea or an earthy pu-erh.
