Description

White Wild Ancient Tree Tea Bud is a unique tea for many reasons; it is the least processed tea- most closely related to the natural tea plant itself. It is grown at an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level in southwestern China’s Yunnan Province and is handpicked off of wild tea trees that are over 100 years old.

The tea buds are whole, plump, brilliantly green, and have a unique wild tea characteristic fragrance. Once steeped, the leaves lighten in color and release a clear golden liquor with a floral honey-like aroma, sweet fresh taste, and almost creamy mouthfeel.

Very Very pale white tea; You will need more leaves than you think, at least 2-3 tsp per cup. My first attempt was to brew gungfu style but there isn't enough surface area to get a reasonable infusion in 30 seconds; It's probably fine to leave this one in water as it's so light and slow to infuse.

The aroma is mildly fruity and surprisingly 'spiced', the flavour matches this and has a sweetness to it. I'll need to experiment with stronger infusions but it's pretty good tea.

Possibly the best tea that there is. You’re struck by the scent as soon as you open the packet, a peachy floral smell.

A robust yet delicate flavour that remains with repeated brews.
